Privacy notice

This page describes what actually happens when you fill in the quote form. It is not boilerplate: the fields below are exactly the columns in our database, and a test keeps this list from going stale.
Who handles the data
Bestudion Software Development SRL, at the contact details in the footer. Question, or want your data deleted? Write to that address and we answer within two working days.
What we store, and why
- name
- Your name - so we know how to address you.
- Email address - we answer here, and the confirmation goes here.
- phone
- Phone number - only if you give it, and we call only when writing does not work.
- company
- Company name - so we know whose quote it is.
- website
- Product or company address - so we can look at what we are quoting for.
- message
- The description you wrote - this is what we price.
- budget_band
- The budget range you picked - so we know whether the conversation makes sense.
- timeline
- The timing you gave.
- stage
- Where you are today (custom software path only).
- months
- How many months the team would be needed for (team path only).
- disciplines
- The disciplines you ticked and the headcount next to each.
- locale
- Which language you filled it in - so we answer in the same one.
- ip
- Your IP address at the moment you submitted - to filter abuse and automated submissions.
- user_agent
- Your browser identifier - for the same reason.
- consent_at
- The exact time of consent - without it we could not prove what you agreed to.
- consent_ip
- Your IP address at the moment of consent - the trace of the notice, not a separate datum: it is what proves the text was shown to you.
- consent_user_agent
- Your browser identifier at the moment of consent - for the same reason.
- consent_text
- THE TEXT ITSELF you read when you submitted, saved verbatim. If we rewrite the notice later, your request keeps the wording you actually read.
- status
- The state of the request on our side (new, quoted, accepted, declined, closed).
- closed_at
- When we closed the request - the retention period is counted from this.
- created_at
- The time of submission.
The legal basis
Your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), given with the checkbox - and steps prior to entering a contract (art. 6(1)(b)) when we prepare your quote.
How long we keep it
We keep the request for three years from the last exchange - about how long it takes for a postponed project to come back. Then we delete it. Sooner, if you ask.
Who we pass it to
Nobody who is not needed for us to answer. The data sits on our own server, in the European Union. We sell nothing and use nothing for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to show what we hold about you; to correct it; to delete it; to restrict processing; and to hand it over in a machine-readable format. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Cookies and tracking
No analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party scripts. We use one cookie: the Laravel session cookie, needed for form security (CSRF), which expires when you close the browser.
